 Many bands and artists have websites to accompany recent music releases and provide an all-in-one platform for fans to engage with the artist, whether that be purchasing their merchandise or looking to see when the next tour will be.

  • Artists may also use simple website-building tools such as Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress due to their simple drag and drop interface to create dynamic, interesting websites.
Whenever new music and other significant artist-related announcements are released the websites will have to be updated so they reflect the most recent content from the artist(s).

Artists may also advertise their website for merchandise releases or for the release of a new tour on their social media accounts. This is an effective way for artists to share their websites with their audience as the people who are interested in them enough to follow them on social media will be more likely to visit the website and ultimately pay money to the artist than a casual fan.
